The Red River does not lie about its name. After a rain it runs the color of brick, and every crossing leaves a ring on the horse's legs.
This Riverland borrows that palette: black, red earth, burgundy, fawn, tangerine and chestnut. New Zealand wool, 36 by 34 inches, from Mayatex. Warm colors for a horse that crosses a lot of water.
